A few of my Favorite things

  First off, I want to apologize for my leap of absence. Being sick for about two months puts a damper on things like a blog. Can't start a blog when you are in two feet of homework, snow, and tissues.

  This new little part of my blog is going to tell you a little bit more about my true(but sometimes odd) likes and dislikes. Pretty basic, huh? For my next trick, I will make my own post for only food I like.( Joking, don't get too excited. I can cook, just not anything too super duper fancy)

1. Garden of whimsy



  This esty shop is magical. There is so much effort and creativity in this little piece of artwork. Not only that, I am overly jealous of the models beauty. Maybe someday this spring I will give the whimsical flower goddess a go.

2. To Have and to Hold

   I am sure you seen this wallet if you are a big modcloth fan. I was going to purchase it when it came out, but within 2 days it was sold out. I swear I cryed for an hour then told myself I would search the internet for it even if it took me a month. It really only took me 2 hours to find a good website that I trusted. The Spotted Moth has my dearly beloved wallet. I still haven't purchased it yet, but I promise I will take a picture of my reaction when I finally get it.

3. A butterfly print 



  I love looking through prints on esty. I love the different ideas, the magic behind a painting, and the curious prints that make you question the artists. This one by Anne Solfud just fit whatever I was thinking about when I found it. A bold, yet dull picture that leaves you questioning the everyday life of a butterfly.

The Terrible results of a Sinus Infection

  For a whole month I have had a nasty sinus infection. I have seen 3 doctors. A very nice looking doctor, an Asian doctor, and a doctor who stuffed a foot long metal telescope/flashlight halfway up me nose... So through all of my fevers and cold chills I started blogging till this week. This week I took a break from posting because I wanted to put another outfit. That never happened. I was in my jamjams with soup and a mocha, watching random movies and reruns. I do promise, starting Monday, that I will start posting more if I feel up to it. So in other words, I will post something when I type or read without getting a massive headache or dizzy feeling. My apologies to my readers, but I know that you will someday feel sick and understand my pain.

P.S.- Jamjams are my way to say pajamas in a cute little tone=)

Duck....Duck...Tape!!!!

Duct Tape. The poor, but crafty, person's best friend. A versatile tape that people have used to create prom dresses, boats that really float, and fix the everyday little problems that life throws at them. But today, I am going to use it to teach you how to make a handy dandy keepsake box. Or accessories box. Or whatever you need a fancy box for!

Materials needed:

• A roll of your favored color of duct tape
• One old shoebox
• scissors (duh)

steps to take to create:

1.   Put the beginning of duct tape inside of the lid and pull roll till you think it enough tape to cover the area you are about to put the tape on. Before cutting, make sure that the tape is lined up perfectly with the edge of the lid and press the tape down on the surface. Now you can cut the tape. If you haven't already messed up, tuck the remaining tape into the inside part of the lid.

 2.   continue step one till you have reached the the other side of the lid. If you are using a type of print for duct tape and you have a small case of OCD like me, try to overlay the duct tape so that it blends into the shape that it is meant to be.

3.     Now for the lid sides! For me, I only needed one strip to cover the side of the lid. Make sure before you lay down your strip that there is about an inch hanging over both ends of side. Once you have pressed the side, cut the remaining side thingys. If there is still a tiny bit left, go head and press them down. They are hardly nocticably.

4.    Covering the sides of the box is pretty much the same as the lid. Take a strip of duct tape and make it look extremely fancy. For my box, I didn't cover the sides because I like purple(if you couldn't tell from my bed). There you have it! Your very own duct tape box! Pretty simple, huh?

I am gonna use it for all of my tighties:)

    I know, my pictures suck. And this is hopefully the worst they will ever be. It was cold outside and my 11 year old brother,who has never held a camera in his life, was the only one at home. I also did not want to take pictures inside. And to make things even better, I had decided to not wear boots. Stupid me... Anyways, I went through all of my dresses today and can't wait to start being able to wear them without freezing my buns off! Too bad it is only the beginning of winter not the end.

My poor cold feet :(

    hummm.... How to start my very first post on my very first blog.... How about with the deep and dark truth. I have no idea why or who made decide to write a public diary of my little life adventures. There, I said it! It seems like a brilliant and bright idea, but after you try to start this light....the brilliant brightness turns to stupid darkness. I realized what I wanted to write about is too similar to others. I thought I would make it a indie fashion blog like my some of my favorite bloggers have made thiers. All of their cute outfits made from both expensive and thrifted items. But then again, I love so much more then just vintage style clothing. From now on to the end of my blogging days, this is going to be a mix of my indie and vintage lifestyle. Its the books I read, (I am a giant bookworm, warning you now) the music I listen to, and the stuff that I think are just past the meaning of the word epic. So enjoy each sentence I post, every adventure I face, and all the smiles and ideas I hope to inspire in your life as well as my own.
